• Graduates have theoretical knowledge required for economical animal production in addition to qualifications acquired in high school level.
• Graduates are able to determine, define, solve and operate in practice the problems related to physiology, reproduction, breeding, animal health, animal raising, management, feeds and feed technology, animal behaviour and welfare and analysis and interpretation of experimental data within animal production facilities.
• Graduates are able to use the theoretical and practical knowledge’s acquired in zootechnicia education field.
• Graduates are able to examine, comment and solve on the concepts and ideas related to animal raising with scientific methods.
• Graduates are able to determine the problems related to animal raising.
• Graduates are able to analyze and comment the acquired data.
• Graduates are able to conduct an advanced study in animal raising field independently.
• Graduates are able to take responsibility in solving problems as an individiual or team member and solutions to problems, issues with aware of social responsibility in Turkey.
• Graduates are able to plan and direct the activities of the Project team.
• Graduates are able to reach the required knowledge quickly and safely.
• Graduates are aware of life-long learning vehicles and systems, and also are able to use them efficiently.
• Graduates have ability to communicate orally or written in Turkish and at least one foreign language with the aim of citing their ideas and suggestions related to problems in animal production and in their social environments.
• Graduates are able to produce and apply projects which are beneficial in their social environments.
• Graduates are able to use informatic and communication technologies at levels required in their study fields
• Graduates obey professional and the ethical rules, especially animal rights, in their studies in the field of animal raising.
• Graduates have awareness of environment, human health, animal health and welfare, work safety as well as entrepreneurship and innovativeness, and attempt to solve the current problems.

• For success in the examinations of courses the students have to attend at least 70% of theoretical courses, at least 80% of practices.
• The students have to achieve at least 21 credits of courses (equivalent to 60 ECTS) equivalent to seven courses of the program or related programs with minimum 70 out of 100 weighted average.
• Students who get AA, AA, BA, BB, CB and CC are considered successful.
• The graduate program students throughout their education a total of 21 credits is not less than a minimum of seven courses, a seminar and thesis work must succeed
• . The students of Department of Animal Science Program who meet the relevant requirements are awarded an MS degree.
• The course concerned in this note is to be successful, must be at least 70 out of 100.

Candidates who apply for admission to a master programme should hold a valid bachelor’s degree a minimum score of 55 from the Selection Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) administered by the Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM).

The graduates have possibilities to work in the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (GDAR) and corresponded institutions, agricultural research institutes agricultural cooperatives, producers associations, small ruminants, large ruminants, and poultry farms, animal feed sector, and the foundation service in biotechnology area, several financial foundations, and municipalities, private sector establishments dealing with animal production, import and export. Besides, they can establish private farms and work as academicians at the universities.
