Yeni Medya Bölümü mezunları, ulusal ve uluslararası görsel ve işitsel yayın organlarının yanı sıra sanal dünyanın getirdiği yeni mecralarda istihdam şansı bulacaklardır. Bu sektörlerde; gazeteci, muhabir, yazar, editör, eleştirmen, basın ve medya danışmanı, müşteri temsilcisi, kamuoyu araştırmacısı, sosyal medya (facebook, twitter, blog, vd.) uzmanı gibi görevler üstlenebilirler. | Access Requirements | Student admission for this undergraduate program is made through university entrance examinations (YGS-LYS) prepared in the framework of the regulations set by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). International students are accepted to this undergraduate program according to the score of one of the international exams they take such as SAT,ACT etc. or according to their high school diploma score. Exchange student admission is made according to the requirements determined by bilateral agreements signed by BAU and the partner university. Visiting students can enroll for the courses offered in this program upon the confirmation of the related academic unit. Additionally, they need to prove their English language level since the medium of instruction atBAU is English. | |

- To be able to critically interpret and discuss the theories, the concepts, the traditions, and the developments in the history of thought which are fundamental for the field of new media, journalism and communication.
- According to BAU Bachelor's Degree Program Education Regulations, Article 23, 1st and 4th provisions, “there must be at least one midterm exam and one semester/year end exam among the evaluation activities of each course”.
- Requirements to take the resit exam are devised by the Senate.
- If the course instructor deems appropriate, semester/year activities such as homeworks and laboratary projects can be assessed as a part of the semester/year end grade.
- The course instructor decides student’s course grade by considering student’s midterm grade, semester/ year end grade, semester/year performance, and attendance.
- Semester/year end exam must constitute at least 40% of the course grade; and course instructor is authorised to determine the weight of midterm exam and semester/year end exam, and to convert these grades to course grade.
- Regulations regarding the evaluation process are clearly stated on the course syllabus and announced to students at the beginning of the semester/year.
- Student’s course grade is decided by taking student’s all activities during the semester/year into consideration and by applying relative evaluation system.
