• Competency in international relationships.
• Competency with international relations theories, political science, international law and the internal dynamics of the country. In this context, gaining national and international information and tools related with both the constitutional, political, social and economic developments and certain regions such as the Caucasus, Central Asia and Africa.
• Capability to view the problems and events from different angles, produce solution recommendations, prepare program and decision drafts, conduct studies on academic and professional issues and to master study processes.
• Potential and skill of self-development in career fields of public administration in positions such as career employee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Governor, administrative jurisdiction, inspector, controller and assistant specialist.
• Mastery of International Law and International Private Law, following changes in legislation, legislation interpretation and transfer to practice, understanding the historical processes, structures, operation and functions of international political and economic institutions, and analysis of current international political, economic and commercial developments.
• Qualifications for undertaking positions at various levels of international organizations, public institutions and establishments, political institutions, private sector and non-governmental organizations.
• Gaining the capacity to work with teams from other disciplines as required by International Relations, namely in other branches social sciences.
• Following information systems related with information technologies, basic computer programs and management field and the innovations in the systems and effective using it.
• Suitability for team work, taking initiatives, openness to new ideas and analytical thinking.
• Good use of Turkish, written and verbal communication, proper self-expression and empathy.
• Knowledge of diplomatic verbal and written communication rules.

Graduates of our department can work in the public sector, especially in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the fields of district governor, inspectorate, experetise, administrative jurisdiction; and at international level they can take part in international organizations; and pursue academic career.
