- Sanat eserlerini malzeme, yapım tekniği, süsleme, tasarım, siyasi, sosyal, ekonomik, ideolojik vb. faktörlerin etkisini ayrıntılı irdeleyip belgeleyerek değerlendirebilmek.
- Sanat tarihi alanının ilişkili olduğu disiplinlerarası etkileşimi kavrayarak, farklı disiplinlerle ortak çalışmalar yürütebilmek.
- Sanat tarihi alanında edindiği uzmanlık düzeyindeki kuramsal ve uygulamalı bilgilerle; alanında karşılaşılan sorunları, alanın kaynaklarını etkin olarak kullanarak ileri düzeyde araştırma yöntem/ teknikleri ile bilişim/iletişim teknolojilerini kullanarak çözümleyebilmek.
- Sanat tarihi alanında edindiği bilgileri farklı disiplinlerden gelen bilgilerle bütünleştirerek, yorumlayıp, çözümleyerek yeni bilgiler üretebilmek.

- Ölçme Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından yapılan Akademik Personel ve Lisansüstü Eğitimine Giriş Sınavının (ALES) sayısal, sözel ya da eşit ağırlık puan türlerinden birinde en az 55 standart puan ya da uluslararası düzeyde kabul gören GRE ve GMAT sınavlarından AHBVÜ. Senatosu tarafından belirlenen denklik çerçevesinde 55 puana eşdeğer puan almış olmak.

At least 55 standard points in one of the numerical, verbal or equal weight point types of the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) conducted by the Center for Measurement Selection and Placement (ALS) or AHBV from the internationally accepted GRE and GMAT exams . To have scored equivalent to 55 points within the framework of the equivalence determined by the Senate. 3. To have received at least 50 points from Foreign Language Level Assessment Exam (YDS) or to have 50 equivalent points from one of the exams accepted as equivalent by national or international validity and accepted by ÖSYM. 4.
