Students are admitted to our graduate programs according to the provisions of YÖKs Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation and Acıbadem University Postgraduate Education, Teaching and Examination Regulation . General application conditions, application documents, application and admission process for graduate programs are determined and announced by the Institute of Health Sciences and program coordinators. Candidates can apply directly to the relevant institute by providing the necessary documents. Applications and registrations are made within the periods announced in the Academic Calendar. • Graduation Degree Requirement: Candidates who have graduated from the following 4-year faculties / departments and programs or their equivalents abroad can apply to the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Doctorate Program below. - Computer engineering - Biochemistry - Biology - Bioengineering - Biomedical Engineering - Biosystem Engineering - Biotechnology and Molecular Biology - Electrical electronics Engineering - Genetics and Bioinformatics - Genetics and Bioengineering - Chemical-Biological Engineering Computational Science and Engineering - Physics - The food Engineering - Statistics - Chemistry - Chemical Engineering - Maths - Mathematics Engineering - Molecular biology and genetics - Medical Biology - Medical Genetics - Medicine - Medical Engineering Graduates of at least 4 years of departments / faculties mentioned above must have masters degrees in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Medical Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Genetics or similar. After the preliminary applications are completed, the candidates are evaluated by a board that will be formed by academicians of Acıbadem University. Candidates who have completed their undergraduate and graduate education in a higher education institution abroad must apply to the program, the higher education institution they receive their diploma, the education and degree they have received must be recognized by YÖK and provide the conditions for equivalence. • Graduate Education Entrance Exam Requirement Candidates are required to obtain the scores announced by the institute and program coordinator, provided that they are not lower than the minimum scores specified in the exams specified below. Candidates must have at least 55 Equal Weight or Numerical scores from the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES), at least 55 in GRE, or at least 450 in GMAT. Candidates who have obtained a masters degree are not sought after ALES for one year after graduation. • Foreign Language Proficiency Requirement Candidates must obtain the scores announced by the institute, provided that they are not lower than the minimum scores specified in the exams specified below. - TOEFL-IBT: At least 87 points - YDS / ÜDS / KPDS: At least 70 points - English proficiency is not required for candidates who graduate from programs providing 100% English education. - Candidates who do not have a foreign language exam above must take a minimum of 70 from the Placement Test that will be held by Acıbadem University Foreign Languages Coordinator. Foreign Students must fulfill the following conditions for admission to the Acıbadem University Biostatistics and Bioinformatics graduate program. - To graduate from a bachelors degree program (B.Sc.) of at least four years in the related fields that can form the bioinformatics basis mentioned above. - Graduating from the overall average grade in this undergraduate program with B / B + (US system) or at least “good” degree (UK system-2nd class upper division) - Having written and spoken English fluently - Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; use and structure of the Internet) - Acıbadem University provides foreign student admission requirements The evaluation of the admissions committee will be taken as a basis for admission in the event that people who have graduated from related fields other than this list apply. Program coordinatorship can apply one or two semesters of Scientific Preparation Program from the candidates admitted to the program in order to eliminate their deficiencies. However, by doing some interview exams, he / she can determine and exempt levels in certain courses.
