• It is a higher education program that covers an eight-semester program based on secondary education qualifications and provides training in a specific field of learning or profession.

• Education and training are carried out in the form of formal, open or distance education.

• Possesses basic knowledge related to Computer Education and Instructional Technology, integration of technology into learning and instruction, and the profession of teaching.
• Knows using methods to obtain scientific knowledge and evaluating the validity and reliability of this knowledge. Interprets issues faced with during learning and instruction by following scientific research methods, and solves the problems.
• Applies strategies, methods and techniques required for learning and instruction, develops and uses appropriate instructional technologies and materials, and evaluates these with the help of appropriate methods.

Students who successfully complete all courses in the Computer and Instructional Technologies Education Undergraduate Program (distributed over 4 years - 8 semesters) with 240 ECTS credits and achieve a general academic average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are awarded a Computer and Instructional Technologies Education Undergraduate diploma.

At Hacettepe University, the success measurement and evaluation methods for courses are carried out according to the criteria targeted in the Course Information Packages for each program. Course Information Packages can be accessed at https://akts.hacettepe.edu.tr/index.php. The vast majority of academic units ensure that their programs have achieved their educational objectives and learning outcomes through methods such as projects, homework, proficiency exams, case studies, course evaluation surveys, etc. At Hacettepe University, the method of measuring and evaluating success, whether the targeted course learning outcomes have been achieved, the students' attendance status or the applications to be made in case of justified and valid reasons preventing them from taking the exam are evaluated according to the Hacettepe University Associate, Undergraduate, Postgraduate Education-Teaching and Exam Regulations.

A course success grade is determined according to Article 23 and Article 24 of the Hacettepe University Associate, Undergraduate Education-Teaching Regulation.

ARTICLE 23 – (1) The success status in a course is determined by the course success grade. The course success grade is obtained by evaluating the success of the student during the semester (midterm exams, homework, practical work, etc.) and the general exam together. The effect of the general exam on the course success grade can be at least 40% and at most 60%. The effects of the midterm success and the general exam on the course success grade, the minimum grade that the student must receive in the general exam in order to be considered successful, and the course implementation plan are announced to the students by the instructor responsible for the course at the beginning of the semester. Students who do not take the general exam are considered to have failed that course. The raw scores obtained from the exams are converted into scores out of 100 and the general success grade is given by adapting the grading system in Article 24.

(2) Supplemental exam results are evaluated together with the student's mid-term success.

(3) Exam grades are announced in writing. The principles regarding the calculation of the course success grade are determined by the Senate.

b) The letter grade equivalents are as follows:

1) F1: No right to take the general and make-up exams due to absenteeism, failed.

2) F2: No right to take the general or make-up exams, failed.

3) F3: Took the general or make-up exams, failed.

4) F6: No right to take the proficiency or make-up exams because they could not meet the conditions for taking the proficiency exam (other than attendance) during the year in the preparatory class.

(2) A student who receives one of the grades A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3 and D from a course is considered to have passed that course.

(3) Students whose course success grade is F2 or F3 can take the make-up exams.

- YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

- "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

- "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report" containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published annually by CoHE. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a bachelor's diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

• The main purposes of the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) are to improve, spread and teach methods and techniques that are required for functional use of the computers and the other instructional technology products needed by educational institutions and to educate individuals who wish to be a teacher in these institutions.
• As seen from this statement, the primary purpose of the department is training teachers.However, students are able to continue their education at the graduate program with their interests, or they can be employed in different positions in the private sector.
• Graduates of the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologyare appointedto public and private educational institutions under the Ministry of Educationwith the title of Information Technology Teacher . In addition, graduates can workin private courses,
• instructional material design companies and as an academic staff of universities. They can work in the private sector with the title of “Educational Technologist” or they can work as an e-learning expert in various distance education institutions. Besides, they can be employed as a publisher, an expert or a specialist in the governmental institutions and organizations such as TRT and TUBITAK.
