• Have expert level subject and professional knowledge in Computer Education and Instructional Technology(CEIT).
• Understands the relationship between CEIT, history of CEIT and other disciplines.
• Use the theoretical and applied knowledge gained in the field of CEIT for the purpose of research and teaching.
• Recognize any problem in CEIT, develop possible solutions, put in practice and test these possible solutions, reach a conclusion by using the gathered data.
• Take responsibilities when encounter problems in the methods and system used in CEIT to develop new strategic approaches and solutions.
• Carry out research, education, and application works as an individual or as a team member.
• Practices problem solving skills in the field of CEIT and interdisciplinary studies as well.
• Evaluate new findings in the field of CEIT and history of CEIT in an unbiased and critical manner.

The examination, assessment and grading regulations have been set up for the university by the University Senate and the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology is bound by these regulations. Each course is assessed via a midterm exam, a second mid-term exam composed of quizzes, homeworks and assignments, and a final end-of-term exam, with contributions of 30%, 20% and 50% respectively. The marking is made out of 100. Grades of 90-100 is assigned a letter grade of AA, 85-89 BA, 84-80 BB, 79-75 CB, 74-70 CC, 60-69 DC, 50-59 DD, 40-49 FD and 0-39 FF. The AA is the highest grade and has a grade credit of 4.00, BA 3.5, BB 3.0, CB 2.5, CC 2.0, DC 1.5, DD 1.0, FD 0.5 and FF 0.0. Grades of AA to CC are pass at master degree progammes.

Admission and registration requirements for the master program in computer education and instructional technology are holding an undergraduate diploma in the related areas identify by the graduate school, and having a score of at least 55 from the National Academic Staff & Graduate Education Exam (ALES). To be eligible for admission 60% of the ALES score and 40% of the GPA has to be at least 55 (out of 100). The placement is made according to the highest average scores. Foreign students have to obtain an equivalence document of their graduate diploma from Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) and have to have a Turkish score of B2 (according to the European Language Portfolio) or 70 (out of 100). Those who graduated from CEIT master program primarily become an academician and work in the universities. The other graduates work as advanced skilled technical staff, project manager, performance technologist, expert and manager in related sectors.
